Come discover the passion and power of live classical music. For its spring concert, the Philharmonic celebrates the glories of the violin. One of the state’s most esteemed violinists, playing on one of the state’s most significant violins, performs one of the greatest violin concertos ever written. Elliott Markow will perform the Brahms Violin Concerto using the violin crafted by Giovanni Battista Rogeri of Brescia, Italy dating to 1707. The second half of the concert will raise the roof as Music Director Anthony Princiotti leads the orchestra in the colorful Pictures at an Exhibition of Mussorgsky (in the standard Ravel orchestration).
